A professional musician since 2002, Yê Dos Santos has played the pandeiro as his main instrument since the beginning of his career. In 2004, he invented the X-Pandeiro, a revolutionary mechanism that stops the sound of the pandeiro's cymbals. In 2005, he met guitarist Vitor Garbelotto and created the "Duo Camaradá" with him, exploring the potential of the pandeiro and the guitar. In 2008, he published the first book of studies and compositions written by pandeiro. As a teacher, he taught for three years in the Choro School of the Faculty of Arts of Paraná and gave master classes as a guest in several cities in Brazil. Yê Dos Santos also played for 6 years in the Orchestra of the Conservatory of Popular Brazilian Music of the city of Curitiba. In 2019, he is making his first European tour with the Duo Camaradá and giving pandeiro master classes in several cities in France, the Netherlands and Belgium. Yê participated in the first edition of the festival Brésil en Béarn.
