Camila Nobre is a Brazilian multi-artist, active as an actor, storyteller, teacher, director and set designer. A graduate in Theatre Studies from UNESP, a public university in São Paulo, Brazil, she continued her research into scenic narratives at the University of Lille, where she completed her Master's degree and part of her Doctorate in Arts.
Her artistic work is part of a constant dialogue between tradition and the contemporary. As an actress, she has performed in several countries with her show Terra Curumim, the creation and artistic conception of her company. Camila also runs theatre workshops for a variety of audiences in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Brazil, offering educational experiences that enrich contact with oral narratives and theatrical expressions.
The author of a scientific publication on African storytellers and their traditions, she highlights the simplicity and timeless power of oral storytelling. Her work, a veritable tribute to the immemorial treasures of the griot tradition, translates these legacies with clarity and deep respect.
Recently, Camila added a section to her doctoral research dedicated to the female voice in history, in connection with oral tradition. She explores the forgotten stories of women, revealing their crucial role in collective memory and questioning the historical biases that have often silenced these voices.
Active in the performing arts, in 2024 she contributed to the Festival Brésil en Béarn, where she designed the stage sets for the concerts, continuing to explore new avenues that celebrate the interconnection between the arts and the richness of cultural exchange.
